The community in Lalor Park, Blacktown, is mourning the tragic loss of three children after a devastating fire, with accusations that the father impeded rescue efforts.

Police are investigating the incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday at the Lalor Park home.

Two boys aged three and six were resuscitated on the street but tragically succumbed to their injuries. A baby girl was discovered deceased inside the house.

Neighbours relayed harrowing accounts of the father allegedly preventing the children from escaping the blaze, with some claiming he tried to drag them back into the burning home.
