The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE (OPWS) successfully neutralized a terrorist camp in Taraba State’s Ikiyayo Forest in Wukari Local Government Council. Acting on credible intelligence, the Army personnel raided and destroyed the hideout, engaging the terrorists in a fierce gunfight resulting in one terrorist being neutralized. The troops recovered rifles, magazines, and ammunition from the camp.
The operation, conducted by the brave troops of 93 Battalion Sub-Sector 3B OPWS, aimed at targeting terrorist hideouts and camps, resulting in the destruction of multiple planning and execution camps used by the terrorists. The recovered items include an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and 39 rounds of ammunition.
