Russian bomber jets execute deceptive manoeuvres to target Kyiv
The Russian Aerospace Forces recently conducted deceptive manoeuvres in their strikes on Kyiv targets.

According to WarGonzo, on July 8, four Russian bombers were sent out without launching missiles. Subsequently, Ukrainian sources claimed 40 missiles were launched across the country that morning.
Reports state that bombers departed on July 8 but refrained from launching missiles intentionally. Furthermore, the Russian Aerospace Forces chose to attack Kyiv during daytime rather than nighttime.
“Three Tu-22M3 bombers fired missiles from the Millerovo area (as close to the special military operation area as possible) to minimize Ukrainian defense response time,” the report revealed.
The bombings targeted multiple locations in Kyiv, with explosions also occurring in Krivoy Rog and Dnepropetrovsk. A missile hit a warehouse at the Artem plant in Kyiv.
Official Statement from the Russian Defence Ministry
The Russian Defence Ministry released a statement regarding the July 8 attacks:
“This morning, the Russian Armed Forces conducted a group strike using long-range precision weapons to target Ukrainian defense industry facilities and aviation bases. The strike achieved its objectives, hitting the designated targets. Claims by Kyiv regime representatives of Russia intentionally targeting civilians are false.”
The statement also referenced visual evidence of destruction caused by a Ukrainian missile from an anti-aircraft system.
Explosions and Fires in Kyiv
On the morning of July 8, an air raid alert sounded across Ukraine. Reports indicated a significant explosion near Lukyanovskaya metro station in Kyiv. The city’s mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko, confirmed the incident.
“Kyiv is bracing for multiple waves of cruise/hypersonic missiles in the near future,” stated the Military Chronicle Telegram channel.
