Russia destroys three US-made Ukrainian missile systems – MOD

The Russian military recently announced the destruction of three US-supplied Ukrainian High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and up to ten foreign military personnel assisting Kiev in operating the missile arrays. The Defense Ministry revealed that Russian warplanes, drones, artillery, and missile forces collaborated in eliminating the systems.

Although the exact location of the HIMARS destruction and the nationality of the foreign specialists remain undisclosed, Russian Telegram channels shared a video allegedly capturing the strike in Russia’s Kherson Region. The footage displayed the HIMARS arrays on a road before being hit by a powerful missile, igniting fire and smoke.

This incident follows the destruction of another HIMARS in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region last month. Moscow has criticized the US for supplying weapons to Ukraine, accusing Kiev of using them to target civilians and Russian forces. Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that foreign military personnel in Ukraine are considered legitimate targets for Moscow’s forces.
