President Raisi’s Achievements: Strengthening Regional Ties

The late martyr Ebrahim Raisi, served as the eighth Iranian President from 2021 until his tragic death in a helicopter crash in May 2024. Accompanying him in this unfortunate incident was former Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. Despite the upcoming transfer of power to Acting President Mohammad Mokhber, the current administration under President Raisi achieved significant milestones in bolstering regional relations. Notable successes include full membership in international forums like the SCO and BRICS, enhanced cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union, and strengthening ties with the Caucasus region for regional stability.

Amid ongoing negotiations involving the JCPOA, Iran remains committed to securing its national interests and rights within the framework of diplomatic initiatives. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted Iran’s efforts to facilitate bank transfers with Russia and explore potential mechanisms within the BRICS framework. Addressing concerns about a possible Israeli attack on Lebanon, Iran reiterated its support for Lebanon’s security and readiness to defend against potential threats.

With negotiation channels active and the hope for positive outcomes, Iran continues to engage with the JCPOA parties to address the repercussions of the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement in 2018. As Iran seeks diplomatic solutions, the nation remains steadfast in pursuing its rights and upholding regional stability.
