Incumbent candidate Meyer Habib, affiliated with Les Républicains, was defeated by Caroline Yadan of President Emmanuel Macron’s party in the 8th constituency of French citizens abroad. Yadan secured 52.7% of the vote, against 47.3% for Habib, known for his ties with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
