Kwankwaso, not Tinubu, will face consequences in 2027 Emirate power struggle

The All Progressives Congress in Kano State remains confident that the New Nigeria People’s Party will not gain favor with the people of Kano in 2027 amidst the ongoing political turmoil. The APC’s response comes after the Kano NNPP Chairman claimed President Bola Tinubu would face challenges in his re-election bid due to interference in the Emirate conflict.

The Kano APC chairman stated that the party is united and will support Tinubu’s candidacy in 2027. He emphasized the importance of the rule of law in resolving the Emirship crisis for peace in the state. The APC highlighted the failures of the NNPP government in Kano and expressed confidence in securing votes for Tinubu.

The APC chairman also addressed the criticism against Tinubu, suggesting that the NNPP’s focus on the 2027 election is a distraction from their own shortcomings. He emphasized that Kwankwaso lacks the national appeal to secure a presidential win and pointed out his low votes outside Kano in the previous election.
