Hezbollah’s ‘largest’ air attack targets Israeli mountain base

Hezbollah recently launched its “largest” air operation by sending explosive drones to attack an Israeli military intelligence base in the Golan Heights. This incident is part of escalating cross-border exchanges of fire that have raised global concern. Following a series of daily fire exchanges with Israeli forces since October, Hezbollah targeted the reconnaissance center on Mount Hermon with multiple drones, causing a major fire according to their statement.

Although Israeli military confirmed no injuries from the attack, tensions continue to rise with fears of a full-scale conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The Lebanese group justified the drone attack as a response to the killing of their operative in east Lebanon. The conflict has resulted in casualties on both sides, with hundreds of people killed and tens of thousands displaced from border areas in Lebanon and Israel.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited troops on Mount Hermon and emphasized the commitment to continue fighting against Hezbollah. The situation remains volatile as both sides exchange attacks and rhetoric, pushing the region closer to a potential war.
