Germany has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, including a Patriot air defense system, spare parts, and additional missiles, as confirmed by the country’s defense ministry. The Patriot system was already delivered to Ukraine, making it the third such system pledged by Berlin.
The aid package also includes ammunition for tanks and anti-aircraft guns, as well as various equipment such as surveillance radar, reconnaissance drones, mine clearing tanks, and armored vehicles. In addition, Germany will supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with smoke grenades, rifles, machine guns, night vision goggles, and more.
This move comes after Germany’s announcement of plans to increase military aid to Ukraine by 3.8 billion euros in 2024. Berlin has become Ukraine’s second-largest military donor after the U.S., showing a significant shift in its support for the country.

The package includes missiles for air defense systems, ammunition for high mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS), and other critical capabilities drawn from U.S. stocks.
