Estonia plans to construct 600 bunkers on Russia border by 2025

Estonia is taking its defense to the next level with plans to create a formidable defense line along its eastern border. This ambitious project involves the construction of 600 concrete bunkers, with prototypes currently being tested and full-scale construction set to begin next year.

The bunkers will be strategically positioned along the border with Russia, with each one designed to accommodate up to 10 fighters, along with their equipment and a dining area. Drawing on the lessons learned from the Ukrainian war, these bunkers will serve as vital defensive structures in case of any potential conflict.

In addition to the bunkers, the defense line will also include anti-tank and barbed wire fences to further secure the border. The contract for their installation is expected to be signed within three months, demonstrating Estonia’s commitment to bolstering its national defense capabilities.
