Exciting Updates on COP29 in BAKU, Azerbaijan
The final agreement on the “host country” for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will soon be signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and the UN Secretariat. Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, provided this update during the fifth committee meeting.
Highlighting Azerbaijan’s priorities for COP29, Nuriyev mentioned a list of 14 proposed initiatives developed in collaboration with various governmental bodies and international organizations. The thematic days for COP29 have also been planned in consultation with the UN.
