China accuses NATO of endangering global peace, stability – RT Russia & FSU

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian recently criticized NATO for its Cold War mentality and ideological bias, calling it a threat to global peace and stability. Lin urged the US-led military bloc to stop interfering in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

His comments come in response to NATO’s plans to sign a cooperation agreement with Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand at an upcoming summit. Lin emphasized that NATO’s expansionist actions reveal its deep-rooted biases and pose risks to peace.

Additionally, the Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman criticized NATO as a “walking war machine” that disrupts global order. The establishment of the AUKUS security partnership by the US, UK, and Australia has also raised concerns in Beijing, with the Chinese Foreign Ministry warning against the creation of an “Asia-Pacific version of NATO.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has also voiced opposition to NATO’s increasing presence in the Asia-Pacific, labeling it a threat to regional stability. These developments underscore growing tensions and geopolitical rivalries in the region.
