Efforts are underway to provide shelter and assistance to those affected by the severe weather, including a distribution base set up by Gift of the Givers in Khayelitsha.
The roads department is conducting inspections in Kalk Bay and pumping water from Highlands Estate to mitigate further impacts. Residents are urged to exercise caution while traveling, as the risk of flooded roads persists despite clearance efforts.
