BiH Ministry of Defense Denies Serbian Army Entry

Amidst controversy over the presence of Serbian Army soldiers in Bratunac and Prijedor, the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zukan Helez, made a statement clarifying the situation.

Helez denied granting permission for the Serbian Army to be in BiH, stating that no official request was made from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia. He also revealed that the Bilateral Cooperation Plan between the defense ministries of the two countries did not include the presence of Serbian Army cadets.

Unofficial reports suggest that the cadets may have been invited by the Ministry of Labor and Veterans’ Disability Protection of Republika Srpska (RS). However, Helez reiterated that no permission was sought from the Ministry of Defense of BiH for the presence of Serbian Army members on BiH territory.

The investigation into the matter continues as tensions rise over the unauthorized presence of Serbian Army personnel on foreign soil.

Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
