Recently, the United Kingdom’s new Defense Secretary John Healey visited Ukraine and announced a new package of defense aid to support the country in its fight against Russian aggression. The aid includes artillery guns, ammunition, and precision Brimstone missiles.
Healey emphasized the UK’s commitment to Ukraine and pledged to reinvigorate support by increasing military aid. This visit took place during Ukraine’s Navy Day, where Healey also honored sailors who were killed.
The UK had earlier announced a substantial defense package for Ukraine, which Healey directed to be expedited for delivery within the next 100 days. Despite a change in government in the UK, support for Ukraine remains steadfast, as both major parties have consistently backed the country.

“Ukraine and the U.K. have been and will continue to be reliable allies through thick and thin,” President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote.
