Starmer’s cabinet forms while Tories recover – Global news.

After the UK general election, Rishi Sunak resigned as Conservative leader, with many former cabinet ministers losing their seats. Labour secured a majority in the House of Commons, prompting Keir Starmer to accept the offer to form the next government. The new cabinet saw Angela Rayner as deputy PM and Rachel Reeves as the first female chancellor.

Tory leaders such as Liz Truss and Penny Mordaunt were ousted, leading to Conservatives winning the fewest seats in history. Nigel Farage finally entered parliament on his eighth attempt, while former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn won as an independent.

Congratulations poured in from around the world, with PM Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy PM Dar felicitating the winning leaders. The new UK government promised immediate change, with a diverse cabinet taking shape and the Liberal Democrats claiming the third-largest number of seats.
