Iran’s New President-Elect Extends Hand of Friendship in Victory Speech
After winning the runoff vote against former nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili, Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president-elect, made his first remarks on national television. Pezeshkian emphasized unity and cooperation, stating, “We will extend the hand of friendship to everyone; we are all people of this country; we should use everyone for the progress of the country.”
Expressing gratitude to the Iranian people for their trust and support, Pezeshkian promised to work together with them on the challenging journey ahead. Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi also congratulated Pezeshkian on his victory, highlighting the successful and secure election process.
Vahidi dismissed claims that elections in Iran were meaningless, emphasizing the significant participation and the guidance provided by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He thanked all those who contributed to creating a positive atmosphere for the election, including the families of martyrs.
With a new era dawning in Iran, Pezeshkian’s message of unity and collaboration sets a hopeful tone for the future.
