The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) is fully prepared to collaborate with President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration.
IRGC Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami congratulated Pezeshkian on his victory in the presidential runoff, emphasizing the IRGC’s commitment to support the administration within legal boundaries and national policies outlined by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Salami commended the Iranian people’s active participation in the election, thwarting attempts by Western-Zionist media to undermine the process. He expressed confidence in Iran’s ability to overcome economic challenges and uphold its rights on the global stage through utilizing national resources and strengthening the Islamic establishment’s influence internationally.
Pezeshkian garnered over 16 million votes, securing a majority in the election characterized by a 50% turnout. A former health minister turned politician, Pezeshkian is known for his independent stance and commitment to public service.
