Imran did not ask Zardari, Shehbaz for better prison facilities – Pakistan

Imran Khan Seeks Better Prison Facilities: Fact or Fiction?

Recent news reports claimed that Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, urged President Zardari and PM Shehbaz Sharif to improve conditions at Adiala Jail. However, there is no evidence to support this claim.

Imran Khan is currently serving his sentence at Adiala Jail, with his living conditions disputed by the federal government. Photos and details of his facilities have been submitted to the Supreme Court.

Reports from Express Tribune and Capital TV suggested that PTI requested better jail conditions for Imran Khan, but a closer look revealed that the letter was penned by Advocate Azhar Siddique from JAP, not on behalf of Imran or PTI.

Advocate Siddique clarified that the letter was initiated by JAP, a human rights organization, and Imran had no role in its drafting. Imran or PTI’s official accounts did not share the letter.

Therefore, the reports of Imran seeking better prison facilities are misleading. Imran Khan did not make such requests himself.
