July Violence in Pakistan: 11 Militants Killed, 8 Civilians Dead
Pakistani forces conducted successful operations, resulting in the deaths of 11 militants, including two top commanders. At the same time, eight civilians, including a former senator, lost their lives in terror attacks in July.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military eliminated militants in response to recent attacks, while also dealing with terror incidents in other areas. Despite some opposition to the government’s counter-terrorism campaign, the army is committed to eradicating extremism for lasting stability.
Violence in July saw a significant death toll, with 60 fatalities in 69 attacks, as per the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies. The situation calls for a united front, with an all-parties conference planned later this month to address the ongoing security challenges.
