Despite a resolution urging countries to halt arms sales to Israel, the US and Germany, Israel’s top arms suppliers, have not ceased their support. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute reveals that the US supplied 69 percent of Israel’s weapons imports from 2019 to 2023.
In recent deals, Israel approved a $3 billion purchase of F-35 fighter jets from the US and received significant arms transfers from Germany, focusing on submarines and warships. Italy and the UK also continue to supply arms to Israel, with shipments worth millions of euros and pounds.
