Vice-President Kashim Shattima recently officiated the groundbreaking ceremony of the ‘Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflict (RSPIC)’ in Tudun Biri, a village in Kaduna State. The village was mistakenly bombed in 2023, leading to the need for resettlement.
Shattima emphasized the importance of restoring dignity and security to those affected by conflict, highlighting the role of the RSPIC in providing a dignified living environment for victims.
The initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision of ensuring every Nigerian feels a sense of belonging in their nation. Shattima also called for unity among leaders to address humanitarian crises effectively.
He commended Governor Sani for his efforts in fostering unity within the state and urged other governors to follow suit. The resettlement scheme signifies a collective effort to heal the nation and rebuild together.
The event highlighted the government’s commitment to security infrastructure, advancing peace, and providing opportunities for those affected by conflicts. Shattima called for a unified response to national concerns and emphasized the need for justice and collaboration.
The scheme, managed by NEMA, includes resettlement communities in various LGAs and aims to provide support to conflict-impacted individuals and families. Partners and stakeholders have been thanked for their commitment to the noble cause.
