Serbia hosts ‘Fire Strike 2024’ tactical exercise

Serbia showcased its military prowess in the joint tactical exercise “Fire Strike 2024” at the “Pasuljanske Livade” training ground near Cuprija. With live firing and the first-time operation of the “Pantsir” air defense system with missiles, the exercise impressed the highest state and military officials.

President Aleksandar Vucic expressed pride in the display, including precision rocket launches and drone observations. He emphasized the need for continued army strengthening and filling military ranks, especially in key regions like Belgrade and Vojvodina.

The exercise involving 1,500 soldiers over three weeks aimed to enhance intelligence gathering, fire support efficiency, and verify Serbian Army units’ functionality. Vucic addressed concerns over drones in Kosovo airspace, asserting respect for KFOR control.

This demonstration marks a crucial step in modern military equipment development, utilizing gathered experiences for future improvements. The exercise’s success signifies Serbia’s commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities on the modern battlefield.
