Police: Remote-controlled bomb blast in Mardan kills 3, injures 7 – Pakistan

In a tragic incident in Mardan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, three people were killed and seven others injured in an explosion caused by a remote-controlled device on the Jalala bridge. Police officials confirmed that the blast targeted a police van passing by, damaging the vehicle and a rickshaw.

Authorities swiftly responded to the attack, with a search operation launched and wounded individuals taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The explosion, orchestrated via remote control, drew condemnation from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, and Federal Minister Amir Muqam.

This attack is part of a disturbing trend of increased terror-related incidents in Pakistan, following the breach of a truce by the banned TTP group. To combat terrorism, the government launched Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, aiming to eliminate extremism from the nation.

As the country mourns the loss of lives and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured, it is crucial for authorities to bolster security measures to prevent such tragic events in the future. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
