Surjani Police Crackdown on Dacoit Gang in Karachi
The Surjani Police in Karachi have recently made a significant breakthrough by arresting a three-member dacoit gang involved in street crimes in Ghoram Goth. The operation led to the recovery of weapons, mobile phones, cash, and a stolen motorcycle used by the gang.
SSP West Hafeezur Rehman confirmed the arrests and highlighted the police’s commitment to tackling street crime in the city. This comes amidst other successful law enforcement efforts in Karachi, such as the recent interception of a smuggling attempt involving Iranian dry milk worth over Rs 3 million by Maripur police.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out seven operations across the country, resulting in the recovery of 47 kg of drugs and the arrest of 12 suspects. Notably, 600 grams of heroin was seized from a parcel destined for the UK at a courier office in Sialkot.
