Keir Starmer, the newly-elected UK Prime Minister, has announced his first cabinet appointments following the Labour Party’s decisive victory in the general election, ousting the Conservatives after 14 years in power.
Starmer, who is the first Labour PM since Gordon Brown in 2010, was tasked by King Charles III to form a new government during a meeting at Buckingham Palace.
The 10 key cabinet members include Angela Rayner as Deputy Prime Minister, Rachel Reeves as Chancellor, David Lammy as Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper as Home Secretary, and others in various key roles.
