Imran Khan to Go on Hunger Strike if Injustice Continues in Adiala Jail, Warns PTI Leader

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi recently stated that PTI founder Imran Khan is prepared to go on a hunger strike if injustice persists within Adiala jail where he is currently detained. Naqvi issued this warning after meeting with Khan at the facility, emphasizing that if the injustice continues, a nationwide hunger strike may ensue.

Naqvi criticized the government, calling for a new election as the only solution to restore the dignity of the vote. He also mentioned Khan’s concerns over the budget and rising inflation. The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has demanded Imran Khan’s immediate release, stating that his detention violates international law and that he has been used for political purposes.

If a protest call is made, Naqvi affirmed that people will come out in support. The threat of a hunger strike from Imran Khan highlights the growing tensions surrounding his incarceration and political situation in Pakistan.
