Gardaí in Blanchardstown have seized cannabis worth approximately €1.6m in a crackdown on organised crime. During the operation, a 42-year-old man was arrested and is currently being held at a Dublin garda station.
As part of Operation Tara, officers stopped a car at 6:30pm and conducted a search, leading to the discovery of the drugs. Additionally, a separate search was conducted at a business premises in Blanchardstown.
The 80kg of cannabis seized has been sent for analysis to Forensic Science Ireland, as the investigation into the incident continues. Gardaí are working diligently to uncover more information related to the organised crime network behind the distribution of the illegal substance.
