Fresh tensions in region will hinder warmongers: Iran’s acting FM

In a recent phone call, Iranian Ambassador to Hungary, Bagheri Kani, discussed the escalating tensions in the Middle East with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó. Bagheri Kani highlighted the Zionist crimes against Palestinians and threats against Lebanon as evidence of certain countries seeking to instigate war and instability in the region. He emphasized that any new tensions will only work against warmongers. Despite these challenges, Bagheri Kani highlighted the positive and progressive relations between Iran and Hungary in recent years.

In response, Szijjártó extended his condolences for the tragic helicopter crash that resulted in the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and his team. He emphasized the importance of diplomacy in enhancing bilateral relations and welcomed further strengthening ties with Iran. Szijjártó also expressed hope for increased dialogue during Hungary’s presidency of the European Union and stressed the need to prevent further escalation of regional tensions. Both parties acknowledged the significance of maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East.

This dialogue underscores the importance of diplomatic efforts in addressing global challenges and promoting cooperation between nations.\
