Brazil’s ex-president, Jair Bolsonaro, faces another indictment, this time for embezzlement involving diamond jewelry gifted by Saudi Arabia during his time in office.
The jewelry, valued at $3.2 million, included a necklace, a ring, a watch, and earrings. Despite the federal police indicting Bolsonaro, the Supreme Court is awaiting the official report before proceeding.
Bolsonaro’s son, Flavio, criticized the indictment on social media, labeling it as a form of persecution against his father. This marks the second indictment for the former president, with the first one in May related to falsifying COVID-19 vaccination records.
