Biden also congratulated Ramaphosa on his re-election by the National Assembly. Recognizing South Africa’s 30-year legacy of democracy, they discussed the country’s commitment to economic growth, job creation, community safety, and effective governance.
The leaders also explored opportunities for collaboration, including within the G20 framework, to boost economic prosperity, address climate change, enhance healthcare systems, and uphold democratic values. Both expressed a strong commitment to deepening cooperation and advancing mutual interests for the benefit of their respective nations.
