Azm-i-Istehkam: Army brass worried over criticism – Pakistan

The Pakistan military’s recent announcement of Operation Azm-i-Istehkam has sparked both controversy and concern. The operation, part of a series of counterterrorism efforts, aims to combat the rising threat of terrorism in the country, particularly in regions like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Despite the government’s reassurances that Azm-i-Istehkam will not involve mass displacement or kinetic military action, opposition parties have criticized the initiative. Nonetheless, the military remains steadfast in its commitment to national security and stability.

In a recent press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) outlined the military’s comprehensive review of the security situation and reiterated its dedication to combating terrorism and illegal activities. The army’s leadership, led by COAS General Asim Munir, remains focused on maintaining professionalism and operational preparedness to face internal and external challenges.

Additionally, the military continues to support socioeconomic growth efforts and stands in solidarity with oppressed communities worldwide, including Kashmiris and Palestinians. The Corps Commanders’ Conference reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and security, emphasizing the importance of unity in the face of adversities.

Through Operation Azm-i-Istehkam and ongoing initiatives, the Pakistan military remains resolute in its mission to ensure enduring stability and prosperity for the nation.\
