Ukraine seeks investment agreement with Japan by year-end

Ukraine is pushing to finalize talks on amending its investment treaty with Japan by the end of the year to boost economic recovery, a top Ukrainian official revealed on Wednesday.

Yuliia Svyrydenko, the first deputy prime minister and minister of economy, shared in an interview with Jiji Press, “It’s an ambitious target to achieve by the end of this year.”

She expressed gratitude for Japan’s assistance to war-ravaged Ukraine and emphasized her commitment to wrap up negotiations promptly to encourage private investments.

In a recent development, Ukraine is determined to conclude negotiations on revising its investment treaty with Japan to spur economic growth. Yuliia Svyrydenko, the first deputy prime minister and minister of economy, aims to achieve this ambitious goal by the year-end.
