The Controversial Interview: Tucker Carlson Finally Scores an Audience with Zelensky
After being blacklisted by Ukraine for his interview with Vladimir Putin, American journalist Tucker Carlson has secured an interview with Ukrainian President Zelensky. The Ukrainian government-linked website labeled Carlson as an enemy of the state, particularly for his interview with Putin earlier this year.
Previously hosting a popular show on Fox News, Carlson was fired last April and has since launched his own network. Expressing his excitement about the upcoming interview, Carlson mentioned, “We’ve been trying for two years, and with particular intensity after interviewing Putin in February.”
Despite reaching out to Zelensky after the Putin interview to provide him with a platform to explain his position, Carlson received no response. Critical of US policy to fund Kiev in the conflict against Moscow, Carlson has voiced his opinion that Ukraine cannot win against Russia.
Although his announcement of the interview has raised concerns among his followers, given his blacklisting in Ukraine, Carlson remains determined to provide Americans with valuable insights into the ongoing conflict that is reshaping Ukraine’s global position.
