The UK general election in Northern Ireland has concluded with several closely contested constituency races. A total of 136 candidates vied for seats in 18 constituencies, with polls open from 7am to 10pm.

The Alliance Party is in contention for seats in razor-edge races, hoping for success in East Belfast, North Down, and Lagan Valley. The SDLP aims to retain its existing seats with reduced majorities.
While the TUV may not win seats, their presence could impact the election outcome. Alliance Party’s Stephen Farry, South Antrim’s Robin Swann, and SDLP’s Colum Eastwood are notable contenders in this closely watched election.
