Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings recently made headlines by calling for President Biden to step down and allow a new Democratic leader to run against former President Trump.
In an email obtained by the New York Times, Hastings, a prominent Democratic donor, expressed his belief that a change in leadership was necessary for the party’s success.
“Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous,” wrote Hastings.
Fox News Digital reached out to Hastings for further comment on his stance.

Hastings and his wife Patty Quillin have been active Democratic donors, supporting candidates like Gov. Newsom and District Attorney Boudin in California.
In response to criticism of Biden’s performance, various media outlets and Democratic figures have suggested that a different candidate should run against Trump.
The New York Times editorial board highlighted concerns about Biden’s ability to win against Trump, suggesting a change in Democratic leadership.
