Doxing, disinformation, buying political candidates, Islamophobia, racism, meritless accusations, physical assaults, verbal attacks, censorship, and even antisemitism are all tools pro-Israeli propagandists have used to intimidate and silence pro-Palestinian voices.
An investigation by The Guardian uncovered the Shirion Collective, an Israeli disinformation network led by tech entrepreneur Daniel Linden, offering “bounties” for information on pro-Palestinian activists.
The network’s misinformation campaign aimed to combat anti-Semitism while targeting pro-Palestine advocates, spreading false information, and doxing students involved in global anti-war movements.
Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, faced a smear campaign for exposing Israeli war crimes, with media outlets like Al-Jazeera and the Palestine Chronicle also being targeted.
The disinformation efforts align with the 2009 ‘Luntz Report’ guidelines aimed at shaping media narratives to support Israel’s agenda, highlighting the extensive tactics employed to stifle pro-Palestinian voices.
This orchestrated campaign underscores the challenges in promoting truth amid the global information warfare unleashed by pro-Israeli entities.
