24-year-old Laure Devouassoud undertakes her first door-to-door campaign to mobilize voters for the upcoming parliamentary elections in France. Fueled by the urgency she feels from the far right’s threat to power, she joins the left-wing Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP) alliance to support candidate Louis Boyard. Devouassoud, a Parisian business school graduate, believes in the importance of social economy and fears the impact of an RN government on the non-profit sector.
Joined by other volunteers, she embarks on a grassroots campaign effort, aiming to engage young voters and combat abstention. The group, part of the Victory Convoys collective, sets off to campaign for their chosen candidates, emphasizing the need for citizen participation in shaping the political landscape.
‘There are still abstainers to be found’
The collective effort of these volunteers highlights the growing engagement of young citizens in political movements and underscores the importance of grassroots mobilization in shaping the future of governance.
