Budget 2025 is set to be unveiled a week earlier than planned on Tuesday 1 October, according to Minister for Finance Jack Chambers. In an interview on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Chambers cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for the new date, denying any connection to speculation about an early election.

Emphasizing the government’s commitment to seeing out its full term, Chambers highlighted the importance of a responsible approach to macroeconomic policy in shaping the upcoming Budget. He also pointed to positive Exchequer returns as evidence of the country’s economic strength.

Chambers, who recently took over the Finance portfolio from Michael McGrath, highlighted the need for careful planning and forethought in shaping the Budget. With more details set to emerge in the coming weeks, the anticipation is high for the economic direction that Budget 2025 will take.
