Belarus Aims to Make SCO a Global Organization

In a meeting in Astana, President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, expressed the country’s commitment to strengthening the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and making it a global entity. Lukashenko emphasized Belarus’ pride in becoming a full member of the SCO and vowed to uphold the organization’s values of mutual respect, equality, and solidarity.

Grateful for the support received during the admission process, Lukashenko assured that Belarus would actively contribute to enhancing the SCO’s influence in global politics. He proposed boosting practical collaboration, starting with finance and emphasized Belarus’ readiness to contribute in various areas like industry, trade, and agriculture.

The SCO Summit, chaired by Kazakhstan, saw the participation of heads of state and government from various member countries, including India, China, and Russia. The event focused on strengthening unity and cohesion among member states to address global challenges effectively.

Belarus’s proactive stance in enhancing cooperation within the SCO signifies a significant step towards realizing the organization’s potential as a global force in international relations.
