A groundbreaking contract worth 750,000 BAM has been signed to benefit the Una National Park, following the decision of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nasiha Pozder, the relevant minister, emphasized the importance of creating optimal conditions for the preservation of this national park.
This year, the 50th International Tourist Una Regatta will take place from July 24 to 27, marking a significant event in the region. Increased budgetary support ensures the regatta will be organized at a high standard, attracting numerous visitors and contributing to the growth of domestic tourism, as stated by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
Una National Park, established nine years ago, is a key attraction in the Una-Sana Canton, drawing nature enthusiasts each year. The park’s management, under director Amarildo Mulic, has received accolades for its dedication to promoting tourism.
With the vision for developing “Unaland – Land of Water Magic” along the Una River, the park aims to enhance sustainable tourism and economic growth. The park’s unique natural landscape and cultural heritage present opportunities for memorable experiences and economic development.
Una National Park’s establishment in 2008 underscored the need to protect its diverse natural resources. Covering 19,800 hectares, the park prioritizes environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and sustainable development for future generations.
