PKK terrorists have recently intensified their attacks by detonating ammunition depots in villages along the Turkish border in northern Iraq, as reported by the Turkish National Defense Ministry. The ministry stated that the terrorists are now resorting to blowing up ammunition depots in villages, putting civilian lives at risk.
The terrorists have taken to extreme measures by using civilians as human shields to launch mortar attacks on Turkish forces and setting forests on fire to evade detection. Despite their efforts, the Turkish Armed Forces are conducting operations with precision to minimize harm to innocent civilians and the environment.
The PKK members detonated depots in the villages of Dergele and Miska, and set fire to the entire village of Dergele. The ministry emphasized that no matter the terrorists’ actions, they will face the consequences of their heinous deeds.
Footage shared by the ministry shows PKK members setting fire to ammunition depots, highlighting their destructive activities. The PKK, classified as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU, has been involved in a decades-long terror campaign, resulting in the deaths of over 40,000 individuals, including women and children.
