New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, a key NDA ally, is in Delhi to seek financial aid for the state from Prime Minister Modi and other Union ministers. With 16 Lok Sabha MPs, Naidu’s TDP is now the second largest NDA constituent, providing crucial support to the Modi government.
Naidu’s visit to Delhi is a strategic move to secure assistance for Andhra Pradesh, reminiscent of his influence during the Vajpayee government. He is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during his stay.
In addition to seeking aid for the Polavaram project, Naidu plans to release a white paper detailing the cost overrun and alleged financial losses incurred by the state due to the previous YSRCP government’s decisions.
The completion of the new capital at Amravati also hinges on financial assistance, making Naidu’s meetings in Delhi crucial for the state’s development.
Stay tuned for updates on Naidu’s efforts to secure support for Andhra Pradesh.
