Steenhuisen urges GNU to unite and address SA’s issues

DA leader John Steenhuisen has emphasized the need for collaboration and unity among parties in the government of national unity (GNU) instead of pointing fingers at each other for the country’s issues.

After being appointed as the minister of agriculture in the GNU, Steenhuisen addressed the nation following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Cabinet announcement. The Democratic Alliance (DA) emerged as a major winner, securing six ministerial and six deputy ministerial positions after garnering 20% of the vote in the election, second only to the ANC.
