Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the mandate for stability and continuity given by the people for the third consecutive term. He highlighted the dedication of his government and promised triple the speed, strength, and results in their third term.
Addressing opposition protests in the Lok Sabha, Modi urged rivals to understand and accept the people’s mandate honestly. He criticized the Congress for failing to cross 100 seats three times in a row and not introspecting their defeat.
Modi expressed pride in the country’s increased prestige and emphasized the ‘nation first’ approach guiding their actions. He credited the support from the people for their zero tolerance towards corruption and highlighted the maturity of voters in the recent elections.
Reflecting on the pre-2014 era, Modi spoke about restoring self-confidence and changing the narrative from scams to achievements. He called for a focus on ‘santushtikaran’ (saturation) over ‘tushtikaran’ (appeasement) policies for the country’s progress.
