BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 2. During an engineering reconnaissance in the Khojaly district of Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region, a significant amount of ammunition boxes and artillery shells formerly belonging to Armenian armed formations and illegal armed detachments were uncovered, as reported by the Ministry of Defense via Trend.

The Azerbaijan Army’s Engineer-sapper units successfully seized the ammunition and shells discovered in the Khojaly district, as part of ongoing efforts to remove mines, unexploded ammunition, and provide engineering support in the recently liberated territories.

Since reclaiming its lands, Azerbaijan has been actively working to clear mines, booby traps, and other weaponry left by illegal Armenian forces. This operation commenced in November 2020 and has been crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the region.
