KZN youth to become ‘weather and climate change warriors’ in the US

Are you passionate about addressing climate change and environmental challenges? The KwaZulu-Natal government is recruiting young people to be sent to the US for this very purpose!

After enduring devastating natural disasters like floods and tornadoes, the government is taking action to combat the impacts of violent weather. At the EnergyWaterFoodClimate Nexus summit in Durban, it was announced that young individuals would be trained to provide solutions to these pressing environmental issues.

The program includes scholarships for undergraduates, Master’s, and PhD students, focusing on areas such as land management, conservation agriculture, water resource management, and sustainable energy generation. The goal is to empower the youth to make a positive impact on climate change.

The partnership between Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is paving the way for future leaders in environmental sustainability. Join the movement towards a greener future!
