The Israeli military issued new evacuation orders on Monday for southern Gaza, affecting areas in Khan Younis and Rafah. This forced many residents, already displaced, to seek new shelter due to the possibility of another ground operation.
The Gaza European Hospital in Khan Younis, one of the last remaining hospitals, was within the evacuation zone. Patients, including those in intensive care and babies in incubators, were transferred to other facilities to avoid potential bloodshed.
Despite the chaos and difficulties faced during evacuations, Dr. Saleh al Hams, the deputy director of the Gaza European Hospital, remained determined.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to eliminate Hamas’ military presence in Gaza, stating that Israel would achieve its goals in the ongoing conflict.
Following the evacuation orders, the IDF reported projectiles launched from Khan Younis, prompting additional strikes in the area.

UNRWA anticipates a mass exodus of around 250,000 people from the evacuation zones following the latest Israeli military directive.
