Hasaka Governor Dr. Louay Sayyouh met with representatives from Sweden and UNICEF to discuss the urgent needs of citizens in Hasaka, who are facing difficult conditions due to US and Turkish occupations. Sayyouh called for Sweden to help neutralize the Alouk water station and increase support for UNICEF projects in the governorate. The Swedish representative, Lina Fassali, promised to convey the suffering of the people in Hasaka to her country and increase financial support for international projects in the region. UNICEF’s deputy representative in Syria acknowledged the cooperation of the governorate in implementing projects to improve conditions for the people. Overall, the meeting highlighted the importance of international support in alleviating the hardships faced by the people of Hasaka.
