During the Armenian Forum for Democracy, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his dissatisfaction with the current quality of democracy in Armenia. He emphasized the need for more politicized and civilized local government elections.

Pashinyan also highlighted the importance of freedom of speech and the press in Armenia, stating that it should be perceived positively by the Armenian public. He reaffirmed his commitment to democracy as a strategic path for the government, emphasizing that democracy is deeply rooted in Armenia and recognized by the international community.

Since 2018, Pashinyan has remained steadfast in his belief that democracy is not just a matter of circumstance but a long-term strategy. He emphasized that democracy is integral to Armenia’s identity and its place in the global community.
